    Hi everyone,

I looked online to see which type of memory my Acer Aspire One 532H needs and it specified DDR2 PC5300. I bought a 2GB Corsair Value select DDR2 PC5300 piece and my Aspire one does not boot up with it. Are there memories I should avoid? I will be returning the memory to NewEgg but don't want to waste money in shipping and returning shipping again to get another one that does not work. Do you know which one that are guaranteed to work?

The AAO532H is the new Acer netbook with the N450 atom processor.

    Thank you,
    Gnimble

I don't have any experience upgrading the ram. In fact since I run Ubuntu on my AO532 there is no need. (I have 80% available ram after bootup) But if you're running Windows 7 Starter edition, you must need it. Did you try this place: http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=19661

    From that website:

Thanks Billyray. I've asked on the aspireoneuser forum but no one responded. It is funny that the 2GB ram that I bought has a post that say it works for the same Aspire One that I have. Then there was another post that say it does not. I'll try to buy local now so I can return if it does not work.

    Have a great weekend!
