I just got my AO725 and I have sucessfully installed Xubuntu 12.10. It's all okay except the temperature which is pretty high - it's about 70° (idle) to 85° C (load). I have installed additional driver for graphics (fglrx-updates), but it's only few degrees colder.

What could be a problem or it's that the normal temperature for netbook like this?

It's definitely not normal. Are you sure that the temperature reading is correct?

Verify using different software. Did you check it under Windows prior to installing Linux?

I don't believe it is reading it correct, because other people (on other forums) are also getting high temperatures from this temperature sensor (k10temp). If I move computer to the other place is table warm and not hot - same is at the netbook's "ventilation slots".

I have installed only Linux and check temperature with different software - sensors, xsensors, psensors. I don't have Windows so I can't try what's the temperature in this environment.
