I hear it's kind of bad. Is this just for the 3 Cell models though? Would any of them have battery lifes to compare with the newer EEEs?

As far as I can tell, based on this and this threads, the 6-cell version should give you at least double that time - over 5 hours battery life.

Yeah, I get just about 5 hours with the 6-cell running XP and browsing the web.

3 cells are going to give u about half the battery life a 6 cell will, as u can look at the names and see why lol its half the strength. eee pc's battery length will never be that great with the 3 cells, ur lookin at about 2 and a half hrs, 3 tops.

that depends on the mAh rating of the batteries. Double the cell's doesn't always mean double the battery life. The stock 3 cell is 2200mAh, the 6 cell can be a 4400mAh or a 5200mAh. I more than doubled when I got the 5200mAh.

yeah, i see your point. But normally, when u get a normal battery with the laptop. it is the standard size, its up to you if u wanna update ur battery. But normall the 3cells are half the battery life as a 6 cell!
