    Acer laptop Aspire One D150-1Bb
    CPU:Intel Atom processor N280 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB )
    RAM: DDRII 1GB
    HDD:160GB(SATA, 5400 rpm)
OS: Windows XP Home Edition sp3

My daughter, a sixth grader, took it to school last week.
It could not boot into Windows when it returned. I tried to run an eRecovery. It crashed after loading the files. Now, it automatically runs the eRecovery and crashes at start of the compute.

I can get into its BIOS but do not find any help.

    Please help.

The easiest thing to do would be to make a clean install (not eRecovery) and then install all the drivers from Acer support website (all that having previously backed up all user data).

I assume this notebook can boot from USB?

    Thank you, Mr. Downloads!

Yes. I agree with you. And I have check its BIOS. It can boot from USB.
But, I don not have the OS.

Do you or does any one know where I can get a legitimate OS?

    Thank you!
