I just moved to South Korea and I plugged my computer into the wall with an adapter. The power cord said it could handle the votage, so I believed it. It worked fine for a couple of days. Then one day the power cord stopped working. I thought I had fried it and it ran off the battery for a while. I tried a friend's power cord and the computer still would turn off after a minute (I assume due to lack of power). I get the icon saying it's plugged in and the power meter says the battery is dead, but it's plugged in. It still dies. I tried running the computer without the battery attached, but it still won't take a charge from the power cord, even though the netbook says it is plugged in.
Am I screwed?
Thanks.

Hi,
You say you used a friends power cord but did you use the power unit as well. As the laptop worked for a while when the battery had power
this seems to be the part that has gone.
I presume you've checked the connections on the power unit and the cables.
Best of luck. -
Can you tell me if you solved this problem?? I have also just moved to South Korea and all of a sudden, my charger won't work. No green light shows or anything, very frustrating!
