Has anyone got one of these Pcs with Motherboard= FMCP7A-ION BIOS=AMI R01-A1 running windows 7 successfully communicating via eSATA port with an external drive ???

I need information on sata controller information as shown in device manager.

    Thanks

Try opening up the start menu in windows 7 and type disk management in the find tab there. Your disk should appear there, and sometimes you need to load it. If you don't see it, try connecting the eSATA drive and resetting your notebook. By the way, on my aspire 5739G for some reason i can't see the esata drive in BIOS (so i can't boot off it) but it works fine in windows. Also make sure it's powered up :p
