So I recentlly bought a Acer Aspire V3-571 with an integrated HD Webcam and Windows 8. The Driver Details show me it's all up to date.

The problem is the camera won't turn on while in Desktop mode on Windows 8 for applications like google Hangouts or facebook's chat client. But when done in any windows 8 application such as skype, Camera, Acer CyrstalEye it works perfectlly. Any ideas, thank you

Check your browser and site settings. I'm still setting mine up; maybe your tips will help me as well. ;)

    Hi Anytimer & Bobeyuno,

Im thinking of buying V3-571-53236G50Makk, just wondering if you can confirm this.
On some websites its stated 15inch on another its 15.6inch screen
Again with weight some say 2.3kg some 2.5kg (even 2.6kg)

Moreover how about the heat problem and the speaker.

1 of the reason why I want this laptop is because of the price +-€490-525, the speaker has dolby, 2.3kg & 15inch (if it is 2.3kg & 15inch), in comparison with Satellite C855 / Lenovo B590 with only SRS and 2.2kg (100g difference is ok for me to choose V3)

At this moment Im using HP Dv3 and it has heat problem + I receive msg indicating problem with HD1 or motherboard. Initially my choice to replace it would be either V3-571 or E1-571 but on some reviews I read E1 has heat problem, was wondering if V3 also the same.

    Thanks
