So my laptop mentioned in the title is stuck in headphone mode and after testing everything, it is definitely a hardware issue. I've tried putting the headphones in and pulling out fast a few times, wiggling the headphones around in the jack, and blowing air into the jack to remove debris (don't see any) but nothing worked. So I contacted Acer because I've only had this laptop for 4 months so it should be under warranty. Well they told me I bought it from an unauthorized seller (Amazon third party) and that the warranty is expired. WTH? This laptop was advertised as brand new so shouldn't it just be the date I started using it and registering it I mean I showed proof of purchase of their brand new product? Anyways, Acer told me I can only contact the seller (so far haven't heard back from them). My question is does anyone know if I can just get the headphone jack fixed or do I have to get the whole motherboard changed? This is sooo frustrating because I only had this piece of junk for 4 months.
