Been hunting around for a thread like this one, but was surprised to not find one given the relative popularity of these laptops.

For the record, I have a grey V5-473PG with the following specs:

    i5-4200U
    8GB DDR3
    GT 750M
    14" HD touch
    256GB OCZ Vector SSD

It's a few months old - has anyone noticed sub-par chassis rigidity, paint that comes off real easy at the edges and fragile bottom plastic plate screw points? Mine has many broken screw points - it's due for a part replacement.

Great laptop for the price though.

I bought a V5-472G two weeks ago, and I've had no problems at all. I loaded Windows 7 for better game compatibility. Here's my config:

    Pentium 2117u
    8Gb RAM
    GT 740m
    14" HD non-touch
    500Gb Toshiba 5400rpm drive
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Just finished Bioshock 1, and it played smooth as butter. I'm loading Bioshock 2 while typing this.

Anyway, the paint is still good on mine, and the bottom plate screws are normal. I removed and reinserted the screws (17 of them!) when I added a 4Gb DIMM.

I agree that it's tons of laptop for the money. Super light and thin for a gaming-capable machine.
