I got one too. It only supports DDR3L memory, i.e. 1.35 volt memory.

Do you know whether they are soldered or not?

It only has 1 slot for upgrades. The core i5 version has 2gb soldered and the core i7 has 4gb soldered.

I just got mine today. Unboxed and did the initial setup. Mine is the i7-4500u 6GB RAM 750GB HDD FHD IPS Touch Screen.

The screen is nice. Bright. Great viewing angles.
The bezel around the screen looks thick.
    Minimal bloatware.
    WEI is 5.1 - CPU 7.1, RAM 7.3, GPU 5.1, Gaming 6.5, HDD 5.9
Keys are very flat. Little travel and takes a little getting used to. Keyboard is backlit.
4 speakers are loud for a laptop. Bass is terrible.

Will be using for work so no gaming. So far I am happy but I have only owned it for 30 minutes. Only thing I am considering is an SSD. Will get a good mouse.

Any of you experiencing some "ghost-touching" of the touchscreen?

Seems to happen more often when the laptop is on plugged in power and the touchscreen becomes activated without touching and clicks in a pattern for a few minutes then it stops.

Really like the laptop but this is starting to become an annoyance.

Any solutions to this problem or will I have to return this one?

No I definitely have not experienced that. The mouse sucks and does not register taps very well but I have not seen anything like that so far. But this is only day two now. I have used it with the battery plugged in and from full to 20% on battery.

The battery life is not great either.

If I paid the retail $799 for it I would probably be unhappy. It was between this and the hp envy 15 quad Microsoft Store had for $499 but I could not get the hp from a store.

I'm looking at this model in Costco. I am unable to find any information on how the battery is accessed and replaced. Can anyone tell me if this is an easy, low-cost thing an owner can do?

Never mind. After reading a long thread on this model over at Slickdeals I have that information, along with a service manual for the 572 version.

Looks like a good choice to replace the HP in my signature, especially since it has a second HD bay for a mSSD. Time to go touchscreen!

    1) Is it possible to replace the HD (1366x768) screen with a Full HD (1920x1080) screen ?

    2) Does the V5-573P-6486 has a mSata port, in addition to the regular SATA ?

    Hi,

Is there a specific thread for the Aspire 473P owner's lounge ? I have been having some issues with the laptop regarding noisy cpu while gaming online.
Can someone guide me there please.

    Thanks.
