I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5 (A515-54-30BQ) for a relative.
The keyboard backlight automatically turns off after a few seconds if you are not actively typing. Kind of a pain in the derriere.
The Acer website says that there is a new (circa March 2019) firmware file that allows users to turnoff the automatic backlight timeout through a BIOS setting.

However, after updating the laptop's firmware, I don't see this option available.
Has anyone else with an Acer Aspire model been able to access this BIOS feature?

Are there any items related to power saving in the bios? It could that they rolled it into one of those items. (if it exists)
