This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hello everyone...
    I am college student and I am looking to get a new laptop...my budget is under $1300...and I was considering either the Acer Asp 1681 or the Acer TM4502--however, I keep hearing about how the 1681 has the mono-out thing from people and is bad--what is that? I will be mostly using it for web surfing, some gaming, lots of writing, and some internet design work...I also prefer a Crystal Bright Screen, which I don't know if the TM offers that...thanks -- [B)]
