    I have the 7665 model, Quad-Core 2.0Ghz, 9700M GT.

Plays games fine on high settings then lags up. I believe it's overheating then downclocking.

Nothing I have tried has solved the problem. I tried everything, even downloading new Nvidia drivers.

Anyone else out there experiencing this with the model? Is it a chassis design problems, then why was it not discovered during the professional testing?

I have a acer aspire 6930G with 9600M GT have the same issue of initial play being smooth and then starts to lag badly then improve then again lag...I thing the entire gemstone series from acer had only one drawback which I think would be the faulty chassis design to provide sufficient cooling to GPU..

    I agree with you

Congrats Sameet for getting your refund back on 8930G.....Acer aspire series is basically basic home usage pc and not for entertainment and gaming..

I wish 100 others remove acer aspire and get any other branded laptop like dell, Alienware etc far far better then acer
