    Got my laptop back from repair and its running like a dream :D

    from cold start to fully functioning in under 60 seconds ( just like a rustlers lol )
    is it me or is it quick, post your times also please

    Mine's probably less....or maybe the same.. :D
    boots upto the windows screen i guess in under 15 seconds....but starts to choke after that due to the tons and heaps of softwares I ve got at startup.. :D

    with vista mine used to boot extreemly fast 20 to 30 seconds.... but then when the OS took over,,, it got slow as crap.... now w/ XP it takes longer to boot... but runs much smoother

    Mine boots in 47 seconds. I do have quick boot turned off. Running xp pro sp3

    Same as BigO, when i had vista it booted in 20-30 seconds but it never really slowed down. Vista was always pretty quick for me after I upgraded to a core 2 duo found an ISO and just burned that and used my CD key. I just didnt like the fact that it was taking up 10 gb and some of my older games would run 20 percent slower.

    not sure will have to do a cold boot :)

    i use hibernation 99.9% of the time :D
    but will try and find that widget your using and give it a bash.

    I got it from Here called a uptime gadget and installed it onto vista side bar.
    i have had the boot up as low as 42 seconds but forgot to take a snap shot :rolleyes:

    This gadget doesn't measure the start up time but the uptime.

    My Acer Aspire 6920G boots up in about 30-45 sec

    just timed my XP PRO SP3 boot.... 45 secs to full functionality
