Got an email today announcing the arrival of Acer's offering into the Chromebook space. Looks interesting, and the price point of $349 is the lowest yet:

    Amazon.com: Acer AC700-1099 Chromebook (Wi-Fi): Computer & Accessories

Thoughts? I'm interested in one of these, and might pick one up. Worst-case scenario, if I don't like Chrome OS then I'll install Windows/Ubuntu on it and have a decent netbook.

I am interested too if the BIOS will let us install and run other OS like Debian (or any other flavor), either netinstall or via USB DVD. I want freedom to install other OS on my next netbook.

    Thanks,
