Recently I developed this simple application that lets you easily configure CineDash and other buttons functions on Acer laptops. This application, “Acer CineDash Config”, is mainly for mine purposes, but I figured I could share it with you guys.
I tested it on my Acer 6935G and Windows 7 64bit version. It probably should work on other models and systems to.

Some of the features that Acer CineDash Config supports are:
    • 32bit and 64bit systems
    • Configuring applications to run and captions for buttons:
    o Arcade Deluxe
    o Empowering tech.
    o Internet
    o E-Mail
    • Making and restoring registry backup
    • Enabling media keys to work with other programs, like winamp, and restoring original key mapping file

    Here's screenshot of it:

Acer CineDash Config can be downloaded from:

    or:

Feel free to comment, use it and test it. And remember, any feedback is appreciated.

For you who asked me how to use CineDash with VLC, this is what you need to do.
    -Open VLC
    -go to Tools>Preferences>Hotkeys
-select Action (like Play/Pause) and double click on Global column
-now press button on your CineDash that matches your action (play/pause)
    -Press Set button
-repeat for all other buttons on cinedash (stop, next, previous...), and finally click save.
-Restart VLC and your CineDash shoud work if you did as told.

I tested it on VLC version 1.0.5
and also had Enabled media keys with my program on first post.

    enjoy.

Is that able to output real sound level to the cinedash? I'd like to have that back, but the application that does it (can't remember the name) also make WMP start when pressing play and I don't use WMP

Will you be able to upload this again somewher beause the following error occurs when we try to download:

    @matmat07
im not sure what are you asking me... This application is used only to map certain buttons to open programs, and enable you to use media keys (play, pause...) in other programs. Volume control is not effected with this app.

If this is not answer your asked for, please clarify your question.
    Cheers :D
