I'm looking at some of the new Acer notebooks--TM 4000 & Aspire 1680-- and was wondering if anyone has seen any displays of the new Acer folio's. I'd love to get one, but there's no dealer near me so I can't look one over.

    Any help would be great.

Just received my 1681 today from newegg and the display is beautiful. It is my first laptop though, so I don't have much to compare it to. I also have to get used to the 1200 x 800 widescreen. I'm used to a much higher resolution from desktop monitors.

Folio design is a nice improvement. Most of the photos on acer's site are of the travelmate folio case, but the aspire folio is very nice also. Still have to use Fn keys for volume and cd shortcuts.

Could you give us a more elaborate review of the 1681??
    - Does it get very hot?
    - How does it handle gaming?
    - Does it get loud?
    - Pros/cons?

Much appreciated as I've been searching for info everywhere but havent been able to find any decent stuff.
