Acer E5-773 Notebook - White Patch visible during dark background

I ran a search in google and this forum and unable to find an answer I started this topic

Yesterday I sold an Acer E5-773 notebook on ebay

Incase you wanted to know its specs are as follows

17.3 inches backlit led display
full hd 1920 x 1080 display
intel i5 processor
1 tb hdd
8gb ram
intel hd 520 graphics


My query is in regard to its display

The person who bought the notebook has informed me that while the notebook boots and when a dark static background is open , you can see a large white patch in the background. This is not visible when color images or videos are open and only visible during a dark static background. The buyer has suggested the display might be faulty. I feel that this might simply be the led's light. showing up during a dark static background. This notebook has a 17.3 inch TN Backlit Led display [full hd] and I feel this is how its designed/manufactured. Please find attached a few images attached to this thread and let me know if its a fault or not
