Hi have a Acer Aspire 5930g with dualboot (vista-xp) need to do a clean install so my question is if i use the eRecovery in vista from hidden partition will that only restore the C: (vista) or will my D: and F: (XP-partiton) also be deleted? btw the F: partition where i have XP is made from the D: partition. so if it only restores C: i should have my dualboot intact or what?or will the eRecovery delete everything to factory defaults and i will loose my dualboot?. also have made recovery dvd's to factory defaults that u can choose to do. but guess it will give same result as using hidden partition.
so please if anybody have dualboot and done recovery from hidden partition or from DVD's with factory defaults plz tell me if just the C:drive is gonna be restored or will it delete all partitions and C: D: F: must do a clean install ASP and wanna know what will happen. thx for any answer in advance

It will restore to the original factory set up and wipe out all your programs and any OS you installed. It will be exactly same as when you bought the laptop. You have to back up your important data on an external hard drive or DVDs.

I think that when you make a recovery this will wipe out all data on c: only.
I have recovered a few times and only c: partition was replaced.
The dual boot will be replaced and you will only boot to your main partition. in your case c:.
hope it helps you.
P.S. - Has mentioned by ellalan make a backup of all your important data to a external hdd. -
Thx lloco73 got 2 answers one saying all partitions will be back as when i bought it that will say C: and D: and loose F:XP but think ur right lloco73 i atleast hope will post if it wiped all partitions after pheww doing back up off all stuff if that would happen. about loosing the dualboot i hoped maybe will get it back the boot by making a copy of the (boot.ini) in C: and after recovery paste it back in C: but its a loong shot anyways thx to u both for answers even if it was a maybe
