Acer Extensa 4230 running on Windows Vista Home Basic. Bought less than a month ago. running in the stock config and software but Firefox.

After a random time of normal usage (it can be hours or minutes) the keyboard would start giving wrong keys (shows "pl" when you hit "p" and some buttons launch the e-mail program), throttling and finally giving up the ghost.

It comes back to normal after a few hours of not being booted.

The mouse works, an external keyboard works, USB devices work... anything but the dang keyboard.

I've tried reinstalling the "Launch Manager" (the driver that controls both the keyboard and the extra launch keys on my notebook, which I haven't used anyways not even configured).

Not to mention it's driving me nuts...

    Any fixes??

    thank you!!!
