If this notebook comes with the 32bit version of vista then don't bother upgrading the ram IMO 2Gb is enough to comfortably run vista (XP as well).

Your notebook uses DDR2 ram and if you still want to upgrade then you can have a look at the ram deals thread, there you will find good deals on memory. Remember notebooks only have 2 ram slots so if your 4620 has both of them filled to give you 2Gb (2 x 1gb) the you will have to remove one of the modules inorder to upgrade.

Most of the recognized memory brands(crucial ,corsair,OCZ, kingston etc) will work fine with your 4620; however the first memory package is useless to you as you already have 2Gb installed. And as I told you before notebooks(unlike desktops) only have 2 memory slots, on your 4620 both are probably filled already so getting any 2Gb package is a waste.

Also the 4Gb package (the second link) IMO is a waste especially if you have a 32bit operating system as a 32bit operating system will only recognize between 3-3.5gb of ram the rest will go to waste; if you have a 64bit version of windows then yes 4Gb will work just fine.
However most likely the 4620 you ordered is coming with the 32bit version of windows which will make having 4Gb a waste.

My advice is wait till you get the notebook and try it out with the current 2Gb it comes with and then decide if you will need more memory. I am running vista ultimate with 2Gb of memory and I have never once run out of memory.

I bought this stick and tried to add to one of the existing 1gb sticks for total of 3...windows won't boot..the stick is good, it works alone..I chatted with a 4620z owner who had sucessfully installed different size sticks..wondered what you ended up doing for memory and how you like the extensa..love mine...hoped addt. memory might speed it up a little.
