Would it work with a Core 2 Duo T5800?

I just bought a T9800 off eBay, and since it was my mom's credit card I rode with, I'd like to give her the T5800 if it's compatible with her chipset. (Aww, sweet, huh?)

Anyway, seeing as she has a Dual Core T2370, I'd imagine a big leap of performance, or should I not if ever?
