    Hi all!
The cpu Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 SLAYY is compatibile with the intel gl40 chipset. But is compatible also with the Acer Extensa 5230? (bios 1.28)
Instead the T5750 is compatible with this notebook?

T9300 is compatible with GL40? I don't think so....T9300 is a Santa Rosa CPU therefore it's compatible with GM960/PM965/GL960 chipsets and NOT compatible with GL40...

What is your laptop's chipset? Get CPU-Z verify which chipset do you have then report back.

GL40 chipset is formerly 667MHz, though some Aspire series with this chipset, like 5738z, have T4200 dual core 800MHz FSB. So you could try this one.
Compatible chipsets for T9300 are GME/GM/PM965.

Just extensa'd my Processor in my 5230 to a t7500!($65 off ebay) system halts at boot, gives the specs of the processor 2.2 dual core 4mb cache 800fsb and say's that the bios shows no Microcode support for the processor and to press F1 then goes and boots fine. Ran CPU-z/Cpuid and it shows everything is fine...Installed windows office ten beta in like 45 secs the thing is Levitating. :) be sure to get the socket p
