    Hello,

About 6 months ago, we picked up this Acer laptop and things were great. It's a great little laptop that does much more than we need.

The problem is this: 9 times out of 10 when we open up the screen to use, we get a white screen or white with vertical lines. Windows isn't displayed. After several attempts of opening and closing the lid, it will eventually display Windows and we can use the laptop. Sometimes, at random, the display will do this during usage. There's a family member who is looking to take this laptop to school/lectures and it needs to be reliable.

Has anyone heard or seen this problem before? The Acer site has no mention of this (if it's there, I can't find it) and I haven't seen a solution from general searching. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks everyone.

    Thanks.
