My friend just purchased a new Acer Extensa 5630 and I helped her install all the software. Unfortunately when the time came to burn the recovery media we ran into problems. I loaded the recovery media program and clicked on the create recovery discs. Unfortunately the program just froze up and it did not work. It did not even get to the burning of the discs stage.
We contacted Acer support and they said they do not have any recovery discs available at this time and we should retry next week.
Has anyone else experienced this issue before?
Obviously if she cannot get recovery media sent to her before the Staples return period has ended she will probably return the computer. Id like to avoid having to reinstall all the software :)
