I have a laptop for about 10 months, an in the last couple of months I am having problem with high CPU usage of my laptop by almost every program and every game I use (photoshop, dreamweaver, tuneup utilities, every game I play [football manager 10] when I watch streams using TVU or sopcast, or even when watching youtube files using my explorers IE, firefox, or chrom,.....)
Simply my task manager is showing 60-70% of my CPU usage is taken by one of these programs. I don't know the reason but simply this is making me unable to use my computer normally.
After my CPU goes high then my computer starts to heat up, my cooler starts working like crazy and couple of time my computer has shut down because of overheating.
I really don't know what to do. I hope that some one can help me. Thanks in advance ;)

    Here are my laptop specifications:
    Acer Extensa 5635G
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T6570 (2.1 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
NVIDIA GeForce G105M Up to 2303 MB TurboCache
    4 GB Memory
    500 HD4
    Windows 7

And here is my HijackThis log file (if somebody would need it :) ), while facing this CPU and overheating problem.

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

It looks like an OS issue- first it would be a good idea to let the Tune Up utilities go and temporarily un-check all the third party apps (apart from AV software) in msconfig so you could test how the system performs without them.
If it's not one of the apps running- which would be pretty easy to figure out- it would probably be easier to just use eRecovery and have a fresh Windows recovered rather than play with current one.

BTW I merged your posts and wrapped hijack log in spoiler tags to make it all more clear for other readers.

Hm, basically all of my programs are turned off in msconfig. And they start only when I turn them on (execute them). So I don't know if there I could do much.
I don't know what are you suggesting by that other thing. What exactly do you mean by this eRecovery of windows?

    P.S.
Thanks for merging my post. I'm new here so I don't know how it all works and how it should be written. Thanks again ;)

You should probably install fresh copy of windows and that should solve that trouble...

    Cheers

By using eRecovey I meant hidden partition (or recovery DVDs) that revert your computer to the factory state- in essence what Arminator suggested- new Windows installation.
Remember to back up all your data before doing this and it you hadn't burned recovery DVDs so far do it using Acer eRecovery application (even if you intend on using hidden partition to recover)
New Windows installation will take less time and give you better effects than playing with your current one for hours to make it work.

This won't you deal with overheating though- I'd recommend dismantling the notebook, cleaning the radiator and applying new high quality thermal paste to the CPU.

Hm, not glad to hear it but if there is no other choice I'll have to do it. Thanks for your help.
