I purchased a Ferrari 4005 in Dec 2005 and in Aug this year I started getting periodic blue screens. I talked to Acer Tech Support and they determined that I had bad HD. The unit was sent back to Acer and they returned it with a New HD.
2 weeks later, the unit refused to turn on and the screen remained blank. I contacted Acer Tech support and they told me that I had a bad battery charger and sent me a new unit. This had no effect and so I had to send the unit back to Acer again for repairs.
Each time I have called technical support it has taken more than 30mins to get through. I have done this 6 or 7 times, so I know that the wait times are normal.
What have other members found about the quality of Acer's Tech Support and what has been your experience of wait times?
Has anybody else with a Ferrari experienced my types of problems.
I am trying to find out if I have a lemon, or is Acer's (supposed best product) a lemon.

super long wait times with computer companies seem almost too common now... Heck, ASUS puts me on hold for half an hour at a time and sent me to an answering machine 5 times! At least u got a hold of somebody...

Trust me when I say this, You had a pretty decent customer service compared to other companies.
I to had to ship them my aspire 1804 harddrive, it only took about a week for them to ship back, then my screen fail, so I shipped the whole laptop for repair. 2 weeks later I received same laptop. It worked perfectly ever since.
I ended up selling it for a smaller laptop tho.
If you were dealing with DELL, you would probally be screwed. ACER customer service speaks in CLEAR english and actually know a little about stuff. DELL's customer service has people from INDIA speaking in broken english and they don't know sh*t!! They follow TEXT-BOOK procedures.
I heard HP & Alienware is even worst!!
