umm, drunk post?

It's a great laptop with great specs and it should be durable because of the carbon fiber case. The only drawback I can think of is an inflated price because of the "Ferrari" logo.
-
Yea, overpriced for its name is my opinion too.
It's nice and all but overpriced. -
why does everyone think it's so overpriced? I got mine for 2399 canadian or about 1950 US. I think that's really competitive. If that's the only objection then i think it's a great notebook. In fact, I bought one.

Compared say an Asus Z71v speced the same it will be more expensive, but glad it worked for you.
-
the fatal flaw with the z71v is the screen sparkle. since you'll be looking at the display so much it was a huge factor for me. also, the internal bluetooth was nice. the z70v, however, was the closest competition for me. if it was more available when i was buying then it would have won over the acer.

Had my Ferrari 4000 for just under a week and I love it. It feels like a quality unit from top to bottom. Love the slightly-rubberized wrist rests. Display is great (I have zero dead pixels). Runs cooler than I expected. This is a one beautiful laptop and unless you go with some garrish boutique gaming laptop I don't think you'll find a nicer-looking computer.
At first I was put off by the Ferrari association also but now that I have one I realize this is kinda like the "Ferrari of laptops", so I'm over the logo thing. If I have any complaints at all, I wish the lid wasn't glossy and so easy to get fingerprints on.
BTW... some reviews have pegged the Ferrari 4000 for having loud fans - that's badly overstated. The fan is not loud on this unit at all.
I researched laptops for months before buying the Ferrari 4000 and I'm not disappointed. It runs, looks and feels like a premium laptop. Yes you can buy a cheaper laptop but that's what you'll get. With the exception of some unlucky people who got a defective unit (very few), I haven't seen anyone yet say they didn't get their money's worth from the Ferrari 4000.
