    Greetings.

I've just got an acer travelmate 7720.

I'm finding that the f8 key toggles between fingertouch and fingerlaunch functionality.

This is the same key that I use to step through visual basic when i am debugging code. The acer traps the keystroke before VB 6 so i can only step through VB 6 with the mouse.

Can i reset the function key that ACER uses or can I switch it off. There appears to be no doco on this function and when i rang Acer yesterday they didn't know either. To their credit they said they'd go look it up and get back to me. Time will tell.

Has anyone has this experience before.

I desperately need to have the f8 functionality back for VB.

    Thanks

I've managed to find a way around it.

The setup for the bioprint protection has an option to change the key or add the alt or ctl key to the keystroke.

I can now get back to some work.
