Hai guyz
I'm looking at getting myself the Acer Aspire 5520G laptop, mainly because it is better than my current laptop in every which way and I've also read that the speakers on the new Gemstone range are of pretty decent quality (at least, for a laptop).
Here is a picture of the front speaker grill, it also has Dolby Digital Live written next to the speakers so I'm guessing that anyone with similar text will have the same speakers. If anyone has a laptop that resembles this chassis I'd love to know your opinions on the speakers. I'm not expecting thumping bass and crystal clear sound, but something that allows me to listen to my music after work with some respectable quality.
(Just an FYI, I'm currently using an Acer 1652z, which is based on the old Aspire chassis, so as anyone who had one will know, the speakers were pretty crappy)

Speakers are very decent. I usually never go above 30% volume. But i have also experienced treble vibrations on the top speakers if i play music for 2 hr + on med-high volumes. (depends on music quality)
Also speakers vibrate on Realtek's extra settings like Rock/PoP after a while. So default sound with Dolby ON is what I use. -
I have acer aspire 5920g.The quality of the speakers is excellent. They are very loud!

The speakers are not bad at all!

Cheers guys, looks I'll be finding out next week how they sound, placed the order today.
Contemplating whether to get the extra 2 year warranty...It comes with a bag and mouse and it seems pretty cheap for £45.
Acer Gemstone - Just how good are the speakers?
