I get this awful "Ring mod" effect at tmes now, from the speakers. Unsure what's causing it. Anyone else have it? Sorry if you don't know what a Ring Modulator sounds like, not sure how else to describe it. Kind of hollow and metallic in the extreme.

Also, I think mine has no Subwoofer :( What do I do?

Could just be bad speakers. Most laptop speakers have mediocre sound and sound tinny.

Get the latest driver update from acer, not the realtek one. Also put 5.1 dolby in acer eAudio for the subwoofer to work. You could even raise the bass setting the the sound management. It's sounds great after, even mroe than my last external speaker.
