This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Since Acer launched its new Tablet line in NY, I assume that we will see it here. They are saying April. I'm sure we'll get more at CES. I don't get these 2 display models. I need a real KB.

    I find this an interesting idea. I'm not sure I'd want one, but it's heading an interesting direction. I like the idea of a fully customizable keyboard area. Don't use/like f-keys? Get rid of am and replace em with something else. Need a number pad? Add one. Don't need one? Remove it. Feel like continuing to browse while you're watching a Hulu video? Go right ahead.

    Doing any serious typing on a touch-screen keyboard isn't a very appealing idea, However.
