Neither the A500 nor W500 can be charged via USB. If you want more info come over to:

    Acer

is galaxi tab 10.1 or ipad 2 rechargable using connection? I want tablet but can't decide what to buy. Acer seems pretty good for its price but battery life seems to be pretty short compared to their competition. :(

I was waiting for the the Galaxy Tab 10.1 release in my area when I walk pass and saw this Acer Iconia Tab A500. After few minutes on it, I was blown away. The inclusion of full USB port was a deal breaker for me. It just made this tablet more usable in the field(construction). On site, all the consultant and project managers carry a pen drive. And it just open up the possibilities of a better communication with them. USB port just over shadowed the shortcoming in weight, battery and no need to mentioned, the thickness. I dont care what they say. It got USB port. I can even watch "The big bang series" via USB without any lag. :)

Another thing, A500 is more faster then the W500 when I tried it out from the shop.

A500 is faster than W500? I would assumed boot speed would be faster since w500 is windows base but overall speed too? I don't know anymore.. I might grab 32gb version of A500.. :(
