Nice Il Diavolo. The Iconia W500 doesn't have a digitizer as far as I can tell. AMD Fusion-Powered Acer Iconia W500 Tablet Up For Pre-Order - Softpedia It won't be good for handwriting without one. The C-50 is an improvement over my Atom. It would be nice to have the better graphics on the slate.

It is quite charming notebook or tablet. I think I am going to purchase it when they will start selling it again on 31.03 in Germany. I am just not sure whether it will work good also for handwritting with stylus. I wish there was someone who owns it aready and suggest me :)

    The netbook base looks nice.

Handwriting with a stylus is a non-starter if you intend using it in a business context. For student note taking in Onenote or Evernote it might be okay. It's hard enough with a digitizer. HP Slate - 16 Week Review

I would wait to see how others like their slates before i got it. If you get one, I'll look for your review.

I think that Acer has done a lot of things correct on this slate. The keyboard is well designed and the C-50 CPU is significantly better than the Atom. Acer will improve this concept overtime.

    Hi Bronsky,

thanks for the great review for HP Slate but yes indeed I will need to use onenote, word and also sometimes drawing some UML diagrams using stylus. You mentioned that you had scratches on the screen and it makes noises while using stylus. these comments discourage me now.
On the other not sure if I should purchase the one with keyboard or without. in Germany with keyboard one is 599euro while without is 499. you mentioned that also you used it rarely. while I have also already Acer 4820 (for me a great machine) I am considering one without keyboard.
yea I agree, over all acer does really great job nowadays. I love my acer 4820 although I hesitated about acer at the begining while It was in my disliked list but now it is climbing through top of my top list ;)
Ok, lastly, one question, what would you suggest for stylus? If i want only use for business purpose. but please not Asus EeeSlate. I know it is great but too large with 12.1 inch and too expensive for my purpose. In German Amazon, 999euro.
