After reading both LaptopMag's and NotebookCheck's reviews, I am intrigued by this touch laptop. What I am lacking are opinions from actual end-users regarding how it handles itself as a primary computer in a variety of situations like :

    * How comfortable the virtual keyboard is for an average daily writing workload (writing documents, social networking, e-mailing, etc).

    * What (if any) interesting uses are made of the dual screen setup.

    * Overall snappiness for office tasks, light gaming and multimedia usage.

*Anything else you can think of.

Do you have an empirical opinion on these subjects or know where can I find a few?

I struggle to see the utility of the touch keyboard. How can you type without looking at the keyboard? Clearly the home keys + sliding your fingers across adjacent letters cannot work in that world.

Wonderful looking but problematic in use. Now... if they did something else...

Plus they apparently used pretty mediocre screens for the bottom panel, so you get poor viewing angles on the virtual keyboard which make it very hard to see. It would have been far better to make it convertable like the 1215T Asus or the other touchpad type machines. Having two screens makes it unecessarily heavy and locks you into a touch screen for typing all the time. It seems like an interesting experiment, but not one I'm interested in paying well over $1k for.

I got mine about 3 days ago and still getting used to it. The keyboard is strange, but same it was when I got the iphone or the BlackBerry Pearl.
The screens though, are not that bad, except the bottom screen that is a bit blurry. Not sure if it is a problem with mine or general.

Anybody got one of these yet.

Is the case made of aluminium or plastic, I have googled and one review says aluminium but he might have had a pre-release version, I cannot find any other mention of what it is made off.

Below is the review that says it`s made of aluminium.

    Thanks for any help.

Bronsky: thanks for the suggestion, but a Google site search turns only a few instances of the Iconia tablets, and no mention of the 6120. I wold rather avoid creating a membership on a forum for a single specific question.

nicksti: good points, and more reasons why I would like opinions on people who had a chance to use it for an extended period of time.

Sxooter: really? Do you have some linkage on this alleged bottom screen issue? I would like to read more about it.

    iconian: thanks for replying. :)
Please keep posting your experiences with the 6120 here, particularly regarding your findings about the bottom screen but also (if you can) regarding the questions asked in the OP.

Look up the review on notebookcheck for it. they mention that the viewing angles when using it as a keyboard result in bad inversion and pretty poor display.

Yeah, as mentioned in the OP I already read both that and LaptopMag's. What I am needing now is impressions from actual users. Hopefully iconian can tell us a bit more.

Anybody have any thoughts on this laptop. I just got mine and the build quality on this laptop is absolutely superb. It looks amazing but I wonder if its practical however. I'm still learning how to use the touchscreen keyboard and can tell you I would not want to have to write a 2 page letter using it.

I do want to upgrade the memory and put 8gb of ddr3 inside. Would pny brand be ok? It is on sale for $70 for two 4GB sticks.
