Guys can you do this test:
    Run HWMonitor
Observe the CPU Power State and fan noise:

Go to Acer Support Website -> Drivers and Support
Download the Intel Chipset Driver for either 3830 or 3820.
Then install like this (With admin permission)

C:\Windows\System32)Setup.exe /overall (This will overwrite Storage Driver so make sure you have the driver to overwrite back)

    Reboot
Use HWMonitor to observe CPU Power States and Fan Noise.

Tell me if any differences exist.

    It is a reversible operation.

Everytime you reinstall Intel Chipset drivers, a baby kitten dies and and baby seal gets clubbed to death.
    /sarcasm

Well I updated the Chipset driver on that baby before went through hell loads of trouble starting with the processor having huge delay in the EIST & strange anomalies can't remember all of them ... so I think as long as you have the 5 series Mobos just use the OEM drivers for the chipset ... but thats me

/why are people getting sarcastic :D
