Hey guys - I just bought a brand new Acer 9410 from Compusa two days ago and unpacked it today.

I noticed a problem, not sure if its a problem or if its normal.

The lid when I go to close it and gently push down, it pops back up, it goes in the latches but doesnt engage, it requires a bit of a push for it to engage and lock. I hear the click then, but I've never had that happen before.

Not sure if that is normal or if I should get it exchanged.

Plus, not sure how Compusa is in their exchange process. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

take it back to them and have them fix it.
I know how much it stinks to not have your now toy (tool) with you right after you shelled out the dough, but it will be worth it to you.

Thanks - yeah I just hope Compusa exchange process is easy and the exchanged unit is good as well, and no further problems. Have to freaking drive 30 min again to go to the store.

The push for the click is normal from what someone else also told me. I guess it's because IBM Thinpad I was using has two latches compared to the one on the Acer.

    Thanks.
