Hi there, when I plug in my headphones to this laptop I get a very high pitch tone. The headphones do not make this noise in any other device. I tried earphones which has a slight high pitch tone but not to the same degree. When I fiddle around with the microphone settings by disabling and renabling it, I can hear the tone changing, could this suggest the microphone is causing interference? However even when disabled the tone remains.

Any help would be appreciated! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling audio drivers but nothing seems to be doing the trick.

Edit: Ok this is pretty odd. I reinstalled drivers again and the high pitch disappears when I am in the 'Recording tab' of the sound menu and as soon as I exit that or disable the mic from being used it returns.
