@t.bear: <s>Just try to google for "Extensa 5620G BIOSv1.35 MXM MOD.rar" and check for the correct file</s> or just wait for .NetRolller 3D. EDIT: Sorry, can't find the file.

I have the same problem with NEW! Aspire 9920G (Phoenix, with unlocked menus, updated 2011-11-06, use with driver v275.33 and these VBIOSes): download - filecloud.io. Link broken! Need the SBIOS mod for the 9600M GS, please.

Yes, all links are down right now. Filecloud.io has apparently removed my account for no reason. I'm in talks with the filecloud.io admins about this, hopefully my files and account will be back soon.

    Hey there,

I have tested my Acer 5920G with the nvidia 9600M GT 1 GB. I've used the Bios for Aspire 5920G (Phoenix, with unlocked menus, updated 2011-11-06): download - filecloud.io which I found here in the forum. The only thing which I have noticed is that my cooling fan is now always on. Can anybody help me? I have searched a lot in the web. Problem is that if I downgrade e.g. to Bios 3708 (cooling fan is not always on - according www) the brand new nvidia is not working. Before I have found the MXM_V3.wph Bios I've updated my bios to version 3813. Even there I noticed already that the cooling fan is not working in the same way as before. For information: notebook is fully cleaned.

Anybody have an idea, or is there still another bios version available where these things can be modified?

I think the fan change is intentional, it's a workaround against Bumpgate.

Well Im gona try to flash it.

I've saved the rom file with gpu-z

and then open with nibitor i've did this changes (where is wally)

    nibitor1.jpg nibitor2.jpg

correct? this resolve the win login bug?

or is problem from the bios?

as you can see my english is very poor and i've got a lot of problems to read the solution.

Edit: Reading a litle bit more I have arrived here

    HEX.jpg

Edit 2: Changing the strings mark in blue (00) by (3E), like mxm bios mod,no results in mxmparse.

Edit 3: Ok, now changing 00 to 3E and F7 to FF mxmparse show this:
    cmd.jpg

    Now bioscod02 is correct?

And how I could assembly the rom file?

Edit 4: Finally I found your bios in other server and now I got flashed and working.
    Thanks.

Just bought a T9300 and i am replacing the HD4670 if every thing goes according to plan. Then the 4670 will be up for grabs the only catch is it's a DDR2 version I also have a DDR3 version but, i have the core removed and haven't' got around to re soldering the new gpu core on since i accidentally bridged some connections while wicking up the old solder :D (ooops).

I plan on flashing it rather soon as it sits with a 4670 and T5250, speaking of which a T9300 and new GT240m video card is going to be one heck of a jump my FPS should go up i know i'm bottle necked pretty notably already(4670 and T5250).

I hope i can OC the T9300 as i understand i need mod the mobo. Would have got an x9000 but, they are only $120 USD more.
EDIT: heard only 1066 and 667 bus CPUs OC with the exception of the Extremes?
    MnSXV.jpg

5920G Photos by triturbo | Photobucket

The thing is it has to have the same PPL as the laptop in the pictures. Also I think i may be able to

    Thanks
Good thing i'm flashing first. Though I do have the latest Acer bios.

Side note i was reading the SLIC addition won't affect my Win7 reading in the earlier pages of the thread. can any confirm this should even worry?

Now i ned to get all my ducks in row and re find a flashing utility and if need be find out if i can flash using windows pe live boot or HAWK pe disc or if i can flash in win 64 bit, i think i saw thread around here about some one having found a 64 bit flashing utility no thanks to acer.

Perhaps this is what i need?

Oh sweet!... Or not sweet, depending if it sounds like a leaf blower. Does this mean my fan will ramp up? Sounds like it will helpe temps.

Side note, Fairly sure i also want to installed a bigger CPU fan like tri turbo did.

Would it be possible to re-upload them to a more reliable service? Seems file cloud straight up deleted every thing.

Any still have the 5920g bios before the DL links went down?

Hello everyone, i'm new here, found this forum with google and apparently i'm in the right place. I found a travelmate 5720g with last bios 1.35 and ati 2400hd xt vga with 256mb ram. I have a 9600m gt 1gb ram and put on since the socket looks the same but the system will start and get to windows with black screen. Apparently the fan doesn't even start and the vga stay cold like unused. Windows boot up (can hear the sound) but screen stay black even with external monitor via vga\dvi port so ho can i flash a vbios for acer 9600m?

Is there a way to make this vga work with this notebook? Maybe a modded bios?
    Thank you :) :hi2:

ps: i obviously read the first post and i don't get if the travelmate 5720 is supported and the download links are broken

pps: sorry for bad english sometimes :D

Yes, .NetRolller 3D is the man. There seem to be some problems with the "file cloud" service. Be patient. He will help you! I am not sure, if you need a sBIOS upgrade for the nb (with T9300) and a vBIOS change for the 9600M GT (Ref.: page 1 of this thread).

The given PLL mod (Ref.: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...pll-pinmod-overclocking-methods-examples.html) is used for unlocking the ability to overclock the CPU via changing the FSB (Front Side Bus). It is specific for the mainboard's PLL chip (Phase Locked Loop), just read the thread for some examples. - As you change the FSB then, other components - e.g. the RAM memories - are affected too by the OC.

The other way to OC is to use throttlestop to change the multiplier of the chip. Currently, I use a T9500 with a multiplier of x14 (Ref.: http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...cceleration-ida-both-cores-core-2-duo-15.html) with my Acer 5920G. The plan is to use an X9100 E0 as triturbo is using successfully (Ref.: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...0-useful-info-pll-modders-14.html#post8424332 AND http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...xtreme-multiplier-windows-67.html#post8424337). The X-CPU has an unlocked multiplier and the E0 version has lower temperatures at the OC process (Ref.: http://forum.notebookreview.com/gateway-emachines/660722-x9100-e0-vs-c0.html).

    YES !! I made it !!

Hi, sorry for the introduction but I'm happy.

I have a 5920G Acer and a couple of day ago my nVidia 8600GT gone.
Two hour ago I made the Owen Trick (200 C for 10 minutes) and... YES now it's functioning !!
But I know that in the future the problem may come back.

    So the question is:
It's better to flash the bios with the modified one

Aspire 5920G (Phoenix, with unlocked menus, updated 2011-11-06)

now that the computer is functioning, for mounting in the future a new graphic card ?

I read the thread but I don't understand if the modded bios cause conflicts or problem with the original graphic cards (like my 8600GT)

Thank you in advance for the answer.

Actually that isn't bad idea that way you have the option for newer hardware in the future. I can help you prepare for the bios flash by linking the bios and thread on how to make a bootable DOS usb thumb stick.

I know, I'm still trying to find a new host, as filecloud.io is apparently unreliable now, they simply delete random accounts (including all files of the accounts) when they run out of space.

Unfortunately, all other file hosting sites I know are interested only in forcing people to buy premium accounts (e.g. by artificial delays, country restrictions that are only lifted for premium users, and so on).

Hi .NetRoller 3d, nice to meet you. Apparently, you are "the man" here :D

just a question: is it possible to do what i need? I mean put a 9600m gt 1gb vram on a travelmate 5720g...because i'm new on the bios modding, i just want to know if it's already possible and i have just to wait the bios reupload or if i have to give up...from the first post i think i understand that yes, it's possible...am i wrong?

    thank you :)

ps: what about put your files on dropbox, skydrive or service like that? You can get lot of gb for free and share link with other people

    @ .NetRolller 3D,

Have you looked at MediaFire for cloud storage?
They were great when I started using them. They got a bit buggy, but if you struggle to get a download, a reload of the page usually works.

If you can not get an account with them, I could put some of the files (maybe all) in my MediaFire account. I'll add links for them in this thread. I'll do my best to get them not mixed up, and make them declared your work.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant you'd have to PM them to me first, if you wish me to upload them.

I think the links on the first page are for aspire laptops not travelmate. I am not sure but I think they are different. Kind of confusing using the same numbers.

hello, i have an 9920g with a working 8600m gt, but i found an 9600M GT 1gb/128 bits , with a good price, the seller told me that it's from a 7720 with a smashed screen.
    Model number: 9600M GT VG.9PG06.009
    Graphics core :G96-630-C1
It will work on my notebook, also on the internal screen?
    thanks for help.

i want to flash the vbios for 9600m acer on my 9600m but i don't know where i can find the bios...ideas?

edit: searching for the vga codes (g96-630-c1 on the chip and vg.9pg0y.007) reveal that at 90% this is an acer vga...can someone confirm?

Hi, My laptop is acer aspire 6920g Bios: 1.16 (latest from acer ), cpu : t 7250 & VGA: nvidia 9500m GS running on windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, i have bought the T9300 and installed it but keeps on giving the blue screen , should i go for a clean installation for windows or i have to update the driver ?? i found a used 9600m GT 1Gb from another acer 6930g (not sure about that) i tried it but i got no response... even the windows desktop did not show , does it need a bios mod to work properly as an upgrade ?? please tell what to do ...thanks

Dear @.NetRolller 3D , I bought an 9920G in Belgium on 2008 and 8600M GT is down around 1 month ago, I have spend a whole month searching internet for dowload SBIOS and VBIOS for other Acer MXMII card, it is my luck to find your Modded SBIOS on a russian website but no luck on VBIOS, could you please post a new download link of VBIOS of 9300M GS and 9600M GT? they will be my choice other than 8600M GT.

Thanks in advance and happy new year.
