I have the AOA-150. I boot it up and once it runs from start up to end it is only a minute and then it dies. i have taken the batery out and replaced it and changed power problems and nothing still does it.
even in BIOS it dies in a minute even after running on power cord. very strange.
Is it part of the MOBO thats the issue?

Put it in a sealed plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a while.
Take it out of the freezer but don't remove the bag yet(water condensation). When it's up to room temperature again remove the bag turn it on.

The freezer trick recalibrates the built-in thermal sensor. It works most of the time, but the problem might come back.

ok that worked... does that mean i have to replace the cpu heat sink? or did the freeze completely rebooted it?

The heat sink has nothing to do with it. The sensor is built into the CPU. If the problem comes back you would have to send the device to repair and the complete motherboard would have to be replaced, because the CPU is soldered on.

Just enjoy your device, now :) Chances are that the problem doesn't come back.
