Does anyone know if When you buy a acer laptop from acernotebooks.co.uk or anywere els, do you get the Windows XP Pro disk or do they preload it and keep the disk?

You won't get an actual XP disc or anything like that, what you would get is the Acer recovery discs with drivers and programs and XP files that you would use to put your computer back to factory settings if something were to happen and you need to reformat your HD.

Yeh, what he said! I bought mine from Acernotebooks.co.uk Only got 2 recovery CDs with it and a Norton Anti virus CD (with only 3 months subscription - LOL!?)

Annoying not having original winxp cd, especially if the recovery cds restore the notebook to how it was when I first took the thing out of the box (so much cleaning up to do)

As far as I know, this is how all notebook computers come.
