Well, if you're just asking for opinions as to whether these are good specs, then I will say yes. I don't know what your needs are specifically, but the Acer 4002 is a popular notebook that has received good reviews and the processor and video card you have configured there along with 512MB of RAM will make for a laptop that performs quite nicely.

ok looks and sounds good, but could u mention the price u are getting it at?

Also i would be so sure about having a dedicated gpu on the 4000 series. I could be wrong.

sounds like good specs, but keep in mind the ability to upgrade later i.e. 2 x 256 might be a hassle to upgrade. 512 works great for most people, so i guess a reasonable question would be what are you using it for? if its just going to be used for word and mild gaming, then this setup with the widescreen monitor sounds great! good luck

Brodahood, the M Radeon 9700 comes in two flavours: 64MB and 128MB
As for the price, 1300 seems a little steep considering I've seen essentially the same machine (TM4501WLMi) for approx. 1150. However, it's within acceptable variation.
On a side note, I have the TM4002WLMi with the same specs as you listed only without the 9700 video card (integrated Intel only) and I picked it up for $1500 CAD (900). Big money for a video card.
As for the quality of the notebook, superb. I couldn't be happier with the battery life and the build quality. Only flaw thus far (4 weeks) is a single dead pixel on the screen. Look at other reviews on this notebook for a more detailed perspective.
