This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have a TravelMate 2480-2943 and was wondering if the Peformance Enhancement feature is beneficial?

    i've only found it to be a problem as it is always trying to defrag my hard drive; i always remove it as it tends to use up resources and cause intermittant slowdowns.
