Hello all. I have a 3 year old 6700hq 1070 predator 17 that recently has been having significant frame drops. Ill be in the 90-100+ FPS range, it will drop to 18-20fps, mostly when there is a ton of stuff mainly online gaming. I've reinstalled the OS and went with the latest nvidia drivers and it helped, meaning it's not happening as frequent but still random. Should i tear it down to do a repaste? I have the predator sense monitor running in the background and temps seem to be in check. I've also went ahead and disabled AV and anything else that isnt important running in the background and im still getting the same result. Any other advice will be helpful. I'm probably buying an Aorus X9 DT this week but i do LOVE this thing and want to keep it around.

    Thanks

Did you ever clean it up/repaste in those 3 years?

If not, repaste it and clean the heatsink/fins.
