Hey, I am looking to upgrade the panel on an Acer Predator Helios 300. It comes with an LG LP156WF6-SPK6 panel which isn't very bright and only has 45% NTSC. I found a few folks who have upgraded to a LP156WF6-SPB1 which is a bit brighter and has 72% NTSC but it is older. There are similar newer models, but they maybe use a different 30 pin connector edp-30p2l-020q on the newer stuff vs edp-30p2l-020a on the older. Are they compatible? Can anyone recommend a panel they upgraded to that they are happy with?

    Thanks

Any updates? I broke my panel and now I'm looking for replacement and don't know which one to buy.

Either the LP156WF6-SPK6 or the LP156WF6-SPB1 will work with your system. The stock panel is LP156WF6-SPK6, the better panel is LP156WF6-SPB1.

I second that choice - this is the exact screen I have in my (otherwise terrible) Asus GL553VE and long story short it's a great screen.
No complaints about any aspect of it.

Anyone go through with the upgrade? I want to replace mine due to backlight bleeding. Do these replacement panels have this issue as well?

I'm trying to look for BOE NV156FHM-N43 that was mentioned above but I haven't found any in the US.
