I have an Acer Predator 300
    G3-571

It's been a good laptop but I have screen flickering now and again. It happens when I open the lid. Often when I reopen the laptop the screen is black. When I push the monitor back further the screen often comes back. When I move the screen back and forth it sometimes flickers or stops the flickering.

I'm guessing that maybe a connection for the screen in wearing out after too many times opening and closing the lid? Would it be an easy repair? Maybe just a screen replacement? I have the latest NVidia update and I don't think it is the GPU because physically moving the screen backwards or forwards would not change things.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

It's most likely the cable connecting the screen to the main unit. It should be a cheap and easy fix - if the notebook is already past guarantee period I'd recommend doing it yourself.

Bought cable on amazon. Replaced with video. Was easier than I thought it would be. I did have to remove the back cover twice since I had not placed the cable correctly the first time. Thanks for the help! Glad that it turned out to be a $12 fix.
