    Can somebody please upload the RTMBR.BIN file
    I cannot find one anywhere in my laptop.

    I have Acer Aspire 4530-5476
    Checked in the PQSERVICE Partition but it wasnt there.
    Have no recovery disks either.

    Hi everybody.
    I have a Travelmate 5530G and I can't find RTMBR.BIN anywhere.
    Neither in the system, neither in recovery DVD I burned nor in the PQSERVICE part.
    I found a RTMBR.BIN on the internet and I downloaded it but I'm not sure it may work on my Travelmate.
    Does RTMBR.BIN exist in just one version-fits all Acer notebook or each one has his proper RTMBR.BIN?
    Can I use the one I downloaded?

    Last... where to look to find it on my system?

    Both the rtmbr.bin and mbrwrwin.exe files are located in the RYTOOLS folder in the PQSERVICE partition on my laptop. I found them using the instructions located here. I would suspect that if both files are not present in your PQSERVICE partition, that it may be corrupt and restoring the Acer MBR won't really help.
