I have an Acer Aspire 1802WSMi Laptop and i recently found firmware to make my DVD drive region free (Thanks to the famous Brothers)

    http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GSA4080N

The DVD drive that came with my laptop is the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4080N so I used the "0H09 GSA (Acer) Windows" firmware to make mine region free, which is really helpfull for me cause i work with a lot of foreign DVD's. The page has different firmware for different DVD drives so you might get lucky.

I'm hoping people can post links for different acer laptops to help everyone out.

Note: Use NeroToll to confirm if the firmware works for you and read the "RPC1 - What you need to understand" (at the top of the page) to better understand what you are doing. And when flashing firmware, you are doing it at your owm risk, I accept no responsibility for things going wrong. Good luck.
