I have a problem: a friends of mine just bought an Aspire S3 (with a 20 gb SSD and a 320 gb HDD) and I wanted to do a fresh Wiodows install on it.
So I load a MSDN copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit in my USB Pen and started installing Windows erasing actual partitions (I done it a thousand times) but suddenly HDD disappeared in the setup menu (can see the SSD only but I can't operate on it).
Now BIOS correctly recognise the HDD installed but the Windows Setup Menu doesn't see it (I try to load the RST ACHI driver but nothing)...

    What can I do??

    :(

P.S. I'm Italian, sorry for my awful English...

    Can Nobody help me? :(

Ubuntu 11.10 sees correctly all the partitions...

Ok, problem solved: i brutally erased all partitions with a bootable Ubuntu key and Gparted...
So when I tried to install once more Windows 7 all was ok... That's a really strange thing however, but...

    All's Well That Ends Well!!
