I've noticed this problem ever since I installed Windows 10. When Office (Word in particular) is in split-screen mode (only docked to the right of the screen, adding to the weirdness), I get a flicker that renders my laptop virtually unusable in that state. When I drag windows around, all is well, same if I maximize Office. Anyone know what could be causing this?

(apologies, no idea why the video flipped like this)

    Thanks!

Windows 10 is known for messing with monitor' EDID information which led to total brick on some machines and artifacts on other.
Perhaps your laptop is somehow affectedOr maybe it is a bug of how Win 10 deals with some monitors (EDID). What's your GPU? If intel then I would try different driver at first: older (better) or newer.
Also download moninfo. Save edids from monitor and registry. Check if it is valid online (google for such site).
If driver exchange didn't help you can try reach a membert t456 who is pro in monitor's in topic called "windows 10 and nvidia killed alienware edid".
But do it ONLY after test drivers because actually it's forbidden to post totally same info in multiple topics.
